Momma Bears
Missing and Murder Indigenous Women and Relatives
Sisters, wives, mothers, and daughters have vanished from their families, leaving behind a void of uncertainty. Families are left with missing loved ones—children growing up without their mothers, mothers separated from their daughters, and grandmothers grieving for their granddaughters. For Native Americans, this situation compounds the existing trauma, creating wounds that seem impossible to heal. Communities are urgently calling for justice.
Mukwa aims to provide direct aid to Indigenous and Black communities of color who are facing domestic violence, by delivering services designed to foster safety and stability.
